Pathways of the Spirits (Butter Factory Studios, 2021)
On a visit to snowy Tasmania, I was greatly moved by Kooparoona Niara (Great Western Tiers) – Mountains of the Spirits - and by a poem by Aunty Phyllis Pritchard at the Tulampanga look-out, which ends:

This pathway of Our history
Through the Mountains of the Spirits
Please help us maintain this right
Back home, Koi Kyeunu-ruff (Stirling Ranges)
- place of ever moving about mist and fog - is also a place of dreaming, mystery and awe. As a migrant, I hardly know their full significance, but in these works I begin to explore places that ask me to pause respectfully before I enter their presence.
